Stacey Carrillo, Ph.D.

Stacey has 20 years of experience in the counseling profession. Most of that time she has worked in academia. She has an extensive background in career counseling, as well as experience with clinical work, and consulting. She has used her counseling training in her work as a human resources professional by coaching, counseling, and mediating employee issues through to resolution. She also has a strong background in training with a focused effort on creating awareness of diversity and social justice issues in the workplace and fostering more just and inclusive environments. Her interests are varied but include mindfulness based practices, women’s issues, mentoring, organizational consultation, cultural competency and social justice advocacy. She is an avid yoga practitioner and is a certified yoga instructor. Areas of research interest are professional identity development, best practices with online and blended learning formats that enhance student experiences, and counselor self-care.
