kalicki@prescott.edu
Kerstin has been
a friend of Prescott College since 1991. She received
her B. A. in Field Ecology in the Resident Degree Program
in 1994, and went on to complete a Master of Liberal Studies
with an emphasis on environmental education at the University
of Oklahoma. Kerstin returned to Prescott College as
an instructor in 2003, teaching various environmental studies
classes for the RDP, including Biology Concepts,
Concepts in Ecology, and Populations, Resources,
and Solutions. She recently joined the Prescott
College admissions team to assist and advise prospective graduate
students during the application process. Kerstin believes
strongly that Prescott College offers a rare opportunity for
students to become self-empowered professionals who will have
a positive impact on their field.
Melanie
Lefever
Assistant Director,
ADP
928-350-2106
mlefever@prescott.edu
Melanie has been
an admissions counselor with the Adult Degree Program for
ten years. She received her B.S. degree in Horticulture
from Cornell University, having initially begun her college
experience by majoring in classical languages at Brown University.
She enjoys landscaping with native plants, seed collections,
travel, languages, learning new things, brainstorming, writing,
reading almost anything in print, the color green, old china
and answering questions for inquirers. Being an admissions
counselor is always exciting for her because, "prospective
students are sharing their visions and creating unique program
plans daily. Students in the ADP are dedicated and highly
motivated and it's fun to work with them in the early stages."
Michelle Tissot
Interim Director of Admissions, RDP
928-350-2104
mtissot@prescott.edu
Michelle has been with Prescott College since the summer of 2006. She received her B.A. degree in Public Relations/Marketing from Arizona State University. Prior to joining Prescott College, Michelle was in business as a Realtor and owner in a local real estate company. Her creativity is fed by freelance writing on a variety of subjects, backpacking Arizona, reading, her family, volunteering and global travel. Creating community, empowering individuals and personal growth are especially important to Michelle. Choosing to pursue your higher education at Prescott College will prove to be a very exciting time in your life and she looks forward to helping you through these important next steps of the admissions process. "Enjoy this journey!"
Jill Pyatt
Associate Director,
RDP
928-350-2108
jpyatt@prescott.edu
During the 1990s, Jill pursued a literature degree at the University of Michigan and found herself in a 12-person pilot program -- the Natural History Writers' Project -- based on Prescott College's experiential learning style. She then earned a certificate of Archaeology at the University of Wyoming and engaged in government contract field work with UW and Western Wyoming Community College. She was a Museum Curator at three Wyoming history museums, wrote a hiking guide for Wyoming's National Parks, composed a local history newspaper column, and dabbled in architecture before relocating to Prescott, where she and her husband both work at Prescott College. As Associate Director of Admissions, Jill enjoys making personal connections with undergraduate students pursuing studies in the areas of Adventure Education and Education.
Kayla Cranston
Admissions Counselor, RDP
928-350-2105
kcranston@prescott.edu
In spring 2007, Kayla came from Arizona State University to study Environmental Sustainability and Action as a graduate student in the Master of Arts Program at Prescott College. As a Prescott College Admissions Counselor for the undergraduate programs in Environmental Studies and Human Development, Kayla shares her passion for social and ecological justice with many of the incoming students she guides through the admissions process. When she is not busy working as a full-time student and employee at Prescott College, Kayla enjoys sharing her enthusiasm for academia with anyone who will listen and traveling to progressive European countries. During rare moments of down time, you can find Kayla biking, hiking, bouldering or camping.
Cameron Boswell
Admissions Counselor, RDP
928-350-2102
cboswell@prescott.edu
Cameron graduated from the Resident Degree Program at Prescott College in 2004 with a double competence in Political Economy and Human Development. He and his wife Cherilyn (Smith) Boswell, also a Prescott College alumna, moved to Boulder/Nederland, Colorado for the past four years where Cameron worked as the Teen Center Director for TEENS, Inc., all the while keeping in close contact with Prescott College as part of the pilot alumni recruiting network with the admissions department. Cameron moved back to Prescott this summer and began working full-time for the college as an admissions counselor in the RDP specializing in students interested in Arts and Letters and Cultural and Regional Studies. He hopes to start the Master of Arts Program at Prescott College next fall in philosophy and media studies.

Lydia Rowe
Director of Admissions, Tucson Center
ext. 106
lrowe@prescott.edu
Lydia has been with
the Prescott College Tucson Center since 1990, initially as
a student and then as an employee. She continues to
promote the mission of Prescott College as the Director of
Admissions for the Tucson Center. This seemed like a
natural role for her after the program itself had worked so
well for her. As
an Arizona native who was born in one of the outlying communities
we serve, atagonia, Arizona, Lydia finds the border region
remarkably unique and diverse, geographically and culturally,
when compared with many other places. Lydia feels quite
sure she will always be fascinated by the magnificent Sonoran
Desert, where she tries to spend a great deal of time hiking,
reflecting, and mingling with the rattlesnakes.
