Discover your Wild Side – Bird watch. Kayak. Backpack. Learn to climb. Paint or photograph big landscapes.  Sign on for a Nature-adventure expedition to wild places.

Learn about Diverse Cultures - Trek Mongolia on horseback. Explore the Andes. Weave a Navajo-style rug. Make tamales.

• Live Sustainably - Transform your back yard into a permaculture garden. Can and preserve what you grow. Build or retrofit your own sustainable dwelling.

• Enhance relationships – with your self and others. Do yoga in nature. Learn about relationships with horses as teachers.

Prescott College’s new Center for Extended Studies and Lifelong Learning offers non-credit educational travel, classes and programs which reflect the values and mission of the College.

The Mission of the Center for Extended Studies and Lifelong Learning is to offer unique and sustainable educational opportunities for lifelong learners that expand our connections in our community,

the environment, and with the diverse cultures of the world. 

We are developing classes in topical areas such as: ecological design and organic gardening, sustainable practices, unique arts and humanities courses, natural history and ecology classes and programs, skills based classes in kayaking, canoeing, rockclimbing and certification programs.

There are many programs and classes we are currently working on that are not yet published - if you would like to be on our distribution list please send an email to cesll@prescott.edu and enter SUBSCRIBE into the subject line.  We generally send out an update sheet 1 or 2 times/month.  When new programs are offered you will receive the most current schedule.

Educational Travel Programs we are working on:

Late Fall - Photography and hiking tour from Prescott to the Grand Canyon with local photographer Matt Turner.  Learn about taking fabulous landscape and close-up photos utilizing editing software.

San Juan River Rafting - we are crafting a unique exploration of this amazing river.

Hiking Journeys in interesting places and countries.
Rockclimbing for the Over 40 Crowd and for Women.
