Disbursement & Refund

View Disbursement & Refund Dates »

The "disbursement date" is the estimated date your lender should release funds to Prescott College. Due to our unique academic programs, Prescott College undergraduate disbursement dates are scheduled approximately four to six weeks into each term.  Graduate disbursement dates occur approximately three weeks after the term start date.  While the Business Office will wait on your financial aid funds to cover your charges, students and families should plan appropriately for other expenses.

When funds arrive, your eligibility will be re-verified and the payment will be posted to your account. [Third party funding (i.e. outside scholarship checks) will be paid according to sponsor instructions.] Once your charges are paid in full, the Business Office will generate a refund check to you for any excess. Most full-year students will have one disbursement and refund date per term.

Refunds for non-local students and parents are mailed via U.S. Postal Service first class. In order to allow for fluctuation in disbursement arrival, processing and mailing times, please allow up to three (3) weeks from your estimated disbursement date for your refund check to arrive in the mail. If more than three weeks have past since your disbursement date and your refund check has not arrived, please contact the Financial Aid Office and we will take the necessary steps to expedite your funding.
