Orr Published in Imaging News magazine

An article by Wil Orr, program director of the NASA-funded Prescott College Sustainability and Global Change Program, appears in the November/December 1999 issue of Imaging News. The article, "A Glowing Future: Turning Obstacles into Opportunities," discusses the development and planning opportunities that are possible through utilization of technologies, such as remote sensing, GIS maps, satellite imagery and 3-D modeling. When combined, these technologies can help local/regional governments develop coping strategies for complex and long-term issues, such as population growth and extreme weather events, including floods, fire and drought.
