Your Prescott experience will be transformative and fun! You’ll start with a three-week orientation, taking you into the wilderness or into the community. You’ll immediately establish friendships and connections while you begin your journey of personal growth…and it will only get more impactful from there.
Application Process at Prescott College
Apply now using the Prescott Application or the Common App.
After you submit the application, you’ll get access to your Application Status Portal where you’ll submit the required materials.
Requirements
- Students who are attending college for the first time – official or unofficial high school transcript or GED certificate and scores.
- Students with dual enrollment credit – official or unofficial high school and college transcripts from all colleges attended.
- Students with fewer than 15 college credits – official or unofficial high school and college transcripts from all colleges attended.
- Students with 15 or more college credits – official or unofficial transcripts from all colleges attended
When you choose to enroll at Prescott, we will need official transcripts prior to the start of your first term. Official transcripts must come directly from the institution through a secure portal like Parchment or National Student Clearinghouse, or mailed directly to:

Prescott College values a holistic admissions model to allow you to showcase your knowledge and abilities in a variety of ways.
You are encouraged to share optional materials including:
- A brief statement to help the admissions committee learn more about you and your academic background.
- A writing sample
- A video introduction
- A community service log or a brief summary of your volunteer work
- A recorded performance or art portfolio

Required:
- Application for admission
- Transcripts from all colleges you have attended since leaving Prescott College. Unofficial transcripts are acceptable at the time of application review, but official transcripts will be required prior to the start of your first term.
Optional:
- A brief essay sharing what you have been doing during your time away and why now is the right time for you to finish your program.
We welcome students to enroll in individual courses without seeking a full degree.

- If you’ve completed fewer than 15 college credits, submit official or unofficial transcripts from your high school and all colleges attended
- If you’ve completed 15 or more college credits, submit official or unofficial transcripts from all colleges attended
Some courses may require instructor approval. Financial aid is not available for non-degree seeking students.

Once we have received your application and required materials, you will receive an admission decision within 3 weeks. We may require additional information or a virtual meeting so we can learn more about you.
Once admitted, use the Accepted Student page as a resource for your next steps. You will confirm your enrollment through your Application Status Portal.

Accelerated Master’s Degree Program
For most of our master’s programs, you can earn up to 24 credits that count toward both your bachelor’s and master’s degrees. For the MS in Counseling program, you may only count up to 15 credits toward both degrees.
