Military, Veteran, and Family Resources
Thank You For Your Service
Prescott College would like to thank our veterans and active service members for their service to our country. We hope that you enjoy your time at Prescott College and wish you the best success in your educational goals.
In 2011, Prescott College became the first private college in Arizona to become a certified Arizona Veteran Supportive Campus through Senate Bill 1373, section 41-609 established by the Arizona Department of Veterans Services (ADVS).
With small class sizes and award-winning experiential and field-based learning applications, Prescott College offers an education that is ideally fit for many veterans’ hands-on approach to learning.

The Veterans Resource Center (VRC) offers:
- Peer support for student veterans and military family members
- Orientation sessions
- A one-stop resource center for college, community, state, and national resources
- Community outreach and collaboration
- Ongoing involvement in the college community

Veteran and Military Family Club
Based on the interest of current students, Veterans & Military Family Club can provide a supportive community for students, friends, and family members of those who have served or are currently serving in the Armed Forces.
The club can offer opportunities for networking, a place to meet and discuss ideas for addressing the needs of student veterans, dependents, and opportunities for team-building and community outreach. By cultivating this group, the Veterans and Military Family Club will adequately assist the Prescott College community in supporting, and working cohesively with veterans, dependents, active duty, and reserve service members and their families.

GI Bill® Information
The GI Bill® at Prescott College
GI Bill® is a registered trademark of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)
Prescott College is proud to support our veterans by accepting the GI Bill® for tuition costs of our programs!.
While using a GI Bill®, course fees are not automatically billed to the VA, the VA may cover a portion of your course fees. Please understand that your BAH/MAH is sent to you for housing, food, and transportation, so any part of the course fee that is allocated to those expenses will not be billed to the VA. so you may want to contact our VA department to avoid any late payments for something informative. It is also important to note that the VA will only cover fees directly associated with tuition and attendance at the college, such as technology, sustainability, and graduation fees. This means that you may incur some fees.

VA auditors have access to, and often review, all veterans’ files. If you have retaken a course inappropriately, you will owe the VA for that course. If the VA School Certifying Official becomes aware of this circumstance, they are required to report it to the VA.
Some classes may be repeated, such as those “failed,” or if a program requires a higher grade than the one achieved in a class. Check with your VA School Certifying Official before re-enrolling in any class, to confirm if it will be covered by the VA.
If you withdraw from a class, Prescott College will also have to report it to the VA. The VA will then require repayment on the tuition and fees for the portion of the course you did not finish.
