Curriculum & Student Experience Regeneration FAQs

Q: What is the Curriculum and Student Experience Regeneration?

A: The Curriculum and Student Experience Regeneration is an update to our current degree programs to enable Prescott College to better support and provide opportunities for our students in a changing world. We are building upon the College’s nearly 60-year leadership in place-based and experiential education and increasing flexibility and opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students. As always, what’s core to our mission is to empower students to make meaningful and lasting change at the intersection of human and more-than-human communities in a complex world.

Q: Why is Prescott College making these changes?

A: We are making these changes to help assure our curriculum addresses a changing world and changing opportunities for both current students and graduates.

Q: I am a current student. How will I be impacted?

A: All students will benefit from changes. Current students can continue in their degree program or choose to switch to the new catalog.

Q: How will new students be impacted?

A: New incoming students will benefit from the new curriculum. The revised curriculum allows for flexibility, multiple concentrations, and further professionalization through internships and career services, as well as regional and international partnerships.

Q: I am a parent. What should I know about these changes?

A: Students will get the education they came here for. New opportunities are available to new and current students. Students can switch their course of study or stay in their existing program, but either way they will be better positioned to get a job or earn a master’s degree.

Q: I am a readmit student. How am I impacted?

A: Welcome back to the Prescott College community! We are so excited to share with you the new and updated academic programs available for you to study. Readmitted students are always held to the new academic catalog that they come back into, and individualized advising will determine exactly how you are impacted by the changes. Our advising team is here to support you through the completion of your degree!

Q: My program is being phased out, will I be able to graduate?

A: Yes, all students will be able to complete their current program and graduate. The College is committed to supporting students in all of our programs through graduation.
