Jennifer Inaba is a dedicated advocate for sustainability and environmental justice to protect the future of the planet and people with a specific interest in the fashion industry. Jennifer’s research surrounds the environmental and social impact of fashion consumerism with a focus on consumer education and consumption habits. Her dissertation work centers on human connection to nature and clothing, and exploring the links between ecological identity and consumer identity. She was a featured TEDx speaker in 2022, sharing her talk on how the practice of mindfulness can help break the vicious cycle of overconsumption all while providing the additional value of reconnecting with nature. Jennifer has worked professionally in the communications field for nearly 20 years, with a focus on conservation and environmental advocacy.
