Lech Naumovich holds a Master’s Degree from the Yale School of the Environment and a BS from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Lech served as a Fulbright Scholar in 2002 in Wroclaw, Poland. Lech has over twenty years of experience working with resource managers, planners, and lead agency staff on creating solutions for human-resource conflicts. My past work includes numerous baseline inventory studies, stream and terrestrial habitat restoration plans, monitoring and mitigation plans, habitat management, fuels treatment and review of regulatory documents such as Baseline Resource Surveys, EIS/EIR’s, Habitat Restoration Plans, Solar Development Plans, and City/County and Park District Master Plans.
I am trained both as an ecologist and a photographer/videographer, integrating media and design into his ecological work to help create front facing deliverables that communicate sound science and increase conservation awareness – including living brochures, interpretative trails, photography, interactive GIS maps, & short films. Deliverables include inspiring media, maps and webpages that accurately communicate spatial, technical and scientific information is his expertise.
Current and past project partners I’ve worked with include USFWS, The Nature Conservancy, American Rivers, Flathead Conservation District, Flathead Land Trust, Montana Access Project, and many local and regional non-profit organizations. Until summer 2022, I served on the Flathead County Conservation District Board of Supervisors as well as the Flathead Basin Commission as a Commissioner and co-chair of the Education and Outreach Committee. I currently serve as a Commissioner on the Western Montana Conservation Commission and on the board of the Crown Gravity Collective non-profit serves to develop biking skills for youth in the Flathead area.
