Dr. Christine Park is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), certified school counselor, and certified MARIⓇ practitioner and teacher. Her educational background includes a Ph.D. in counselor education supervision, M.A. in counseling psychology, and B.Ed. in special education.
In her clinical practice, Dr. Park runs a small group practice where she provides mental health counseling to adults and adolescents with varying mental health challenges. She also supports the growth of emerging counselors by supervising graduate-level interns and pre-licensed counselors. Her other professional experience includes teaching in an alternative learning setting for disadvantaged adolescents, and serving as a program coordinator to assist dislocated and disadvantaged adults transition to college or employment.
Dr. Park is active in the counseling profession and served as the President of the Hawaiʻi Counselors Association and on the advisory council for the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) Minority Fellowship Program. She also serves on various local, regional, and national boards and task forces centered on counseling and mental health. She provides advocacy and service at the state and national level, and her passion lies in advocating for mental health and wellness, normalizing access to mental health care, and supporting disadvantaged populations and Native and Indigenous communities.
