Michael Jones, PhD

Dr. Jones is a licensed professional counselor and clinical supervisor in Arkansas, board-certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors, and a board-certified telemental health provider (BC-TMH). With over twenty years of clinical experience in mental health and more than a decade as a counselor educator, his research and clinical interests include biracial adults, African American mental health, ethics, telemental health counseling, and integrating technology into counselor education.

Dr. Jones has served on the American Counseling Association Ethics Committee. He is the immediate past President of the Southern Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (SACES) and co-chair of the Arkansas Counseling Association Ethics Committee. He has also been President of both the Arkansas Counseling Association (ArCA) and the Arkansas Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ArACES).

Dr. Jones frequently presents at conferences and is currently writing a book on the mental health of Black men. In his free time, he enjoys listening to audiobooks, traveling, creating humorous social media videos, and spending time with his family.
