Dr. Nisha Warbington is an experienced educator, licensed counselor, and a dedicated advocate for mental health. She holds a Ph.D. in Counselor Education from the University of Alabama and has over two decades of diverse experience in counseling and education. Currently, Dr. Warbington is a core faculty member at Prescott College, where she also serves as the Data and Assessment Coordinator for the Counselor Education program.
In her clinical practice, Dr. Warbington is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor with specializations in trauma and attachment, providing services to children, adolescents, and adults. She is also a certified Theraplay practitioner and an Emotionally Focused Therapist.
Her commitment to advancing the counseling profession is evident through her active involvement in professional associations, including her leadership roles within the Alabama Counseling Association. Dr. Warbington’s scholarly work addresses mental health literacy and resilience, with publications and presentations on topics like destressing, attachment, and counselor supervision. As a respected educator, she has developed and delivered numerous workshops on mental health, play therapy, and online counseling methods, reflecting her dedication to fostering well-rounded, compassionate counselors equipped to meet diverse client needs.
