Audrey loves teaching counseling and has been teaching in Masters and Doctoral level counseling programs for the past six years. Audrey’s unique experiences of having grown up overseas give her a fresh perspective on individual and relationship issues that people find themselves in. She enjoys working with premarital couples, married couples, adolescents, missionaries, individuals in ministry, young adults, and parents. She is certified in Prepare and Enrich and The Couple Checkup, comprehensive assessment tools used in both premarital and marriage therapy, and also is certified in Level 1 and 2 of Gottman Couples Therapy. Audrey is bilingual in English and Kinyarwanda. She spent 21 years overseas (particularly East Africa) and understands cross-cultural issues. Her areas of experience and research are depression, anxiety, acculturation issues, burnout, grief and loss, traumatic brain injury, fertility issues, early childhood, attachment, and family of origin issues, relationship issues, emotional regulation, and adjustment difficulties.
