Why this program?

Like us, you believe that a classroom is more than just four walls. With a mission to create a healthy, just, and sustainable world, you seek to solve problems by getting into the field and taking action. You want to be an out-of-the-ordinary kind of teacher and educator. Luckily, this is no ordinary education program. Hands-on and community-based, get ready to discover non-traditional education models and gain real-world experience while you earn your degree. Great for students who want to accelerate into either a certification or non-cert Master’s degrees, such as the MA in Education or EdM, and who want to specialize in Environmental or Social Justice Education.

What can you do with this degree?

Our graduates typically work for school districts, organizations, cities, governmental agencies, public lands, non-profits, camps, mental health programs, and political advocacy groups.
